Participating in the NOMAN open ocean rowing race, really brought into view our values and beliefs and our mantra of living life on purpose. We had to dig deep into our own skills and competencies, many of which we have been delivering as learning content, into the businesses we have worked in for years. The difference was, this was in an environment where neither of us had any previous experience … the ocean!

It had a massively positive impact on our company, as 2020, saw us enter the uncharted waters of COVID. We carried our experience from the race to navigate through the challenges of the pandemic both from personal and business point of view.

Commitment to Challenges: It demonstrated that our leadership is willing to take on significant challenges and push boundaries. This commitment to facing challenges head-on, will hopefully inspire confidence in our clients, showcasing the Momentum4’s dedication to achieving success.

Focus on Teamwork: The race highlighted the importance of teamwork within a business. This will inspire our clients to trust us to develop collaborative and supportive teams and create environments where everyone can thrive.

Resilience and Determination: Rowing across open ocean requires immense resilience and determination, qualities that are essential for navigating the complexities of business. By demonstrating these traits, as directors of Momentum4, it shows that the company is resilient in the face of adversity and determined to overcome obstacles to achieve its goals.

Innovation and Creativity: Engaging in unique and adventurous activities like open ocean rowing can also suggest that the company is innovative and creative in its approach. It implies that the company is open to exploring unconventional methods and solutions to drive growth and success.

Overall: This was of the toughest physical, mental and emotional tests of our lives, where we needed laser sharp focus, and our purpose had to be unwavering. The race reflected very positively on Momentum4, displaying it as a committed, teamwork-oriented, resilient, determined, innovative, and creative business. These are the qualities that can enhance a company’s reputation, if you value these attributes in your own business, please contact us, we would love to be your people development partner.
